Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 Purpose
These Terms and Conditions set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Vands Clinic
(hereinafter referred to as the “Clinic”) and users in connection with the use of services provided
through the Clinic’s official website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).
Article 2 Definitions
The definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows.
(1) “Site” refers to the virtual space established by the Clinic using information and communication facilities such as computers to provide services.
(2) “Service” refers to all online services provided through the Clinic’s website and other internet platforms operated by the Clinic.
(3) “Member (User)” refers to a person who agrees to these Terms and Conditions, logs into the website, and receives services provided by the Clinic.
(4) “Administrator” refers to a person selected by the Clinic to manage and operate the Service smoothly.
(5) “ID” refers to the login name issued to a member for accessing the Site.
(6) “Password” refers to a combination of letters and numbers approved by the Clinic and set by the member to protect personal information and ensure secure use of the Service.
(7) “Personal Information” refers to information that can identify a specific individual, such as name and resident registration number.
(8) Members are classified into users and administrators, each having the following authorities.
Member: A person who joins the Vands Clinic online membership and uses services provided by the Clinic.
Administrator: An account issued by the chief administrator to manage and operate the Clinic’s website within assigned authority.
Article 3 Posting and Amendment of Terms
(1) These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to members.
(2) The Clinic may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable laws when unavoidable circumstances arise.
(3) In the event of amendments due to operational or business necessity, the amended Terms shall take effect upon notice in the same manner as above.
(4) Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and customary practices.
Article 4 Content and Modification of Services
(1) The Clinic provides the following services.
a. General information services provided by the Clinic
b. Clinic news and newsletter services
c. Online consultation and appointment services
d. Member-only sections and content services
e. Other services determined by the Clinic
(2) The Clinic may change service content when unavoidable and shall notify users of such changes.
(3) The Clinic shall not be liable for damages incurred by users due to service changes, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 5 Suspension of Services
(1) Service provision may be temporarily restricted or suspended due to system maintenance, failures, communication issues, development, or emergencies.
(2) The Clinic shall not be liable for damages caused by temporary service suspension, unless due to intentional or gross negligence.
Chapter 2 Membership Registration and Withdrawal
Article 6 Membership Registration
(1) Users apply for membership by completing the registration form and agreeing to these Terms.
(2) The Clinic registers applicants as members unless they fall under the following.
a. Using another person’s identity
b. Previously losing membership under Article 7
c. Providing false or incomplete information
d. When registration significantly interferes with Clinic operations
(3) Membership is established upon the Clinic’s approval.
(4) Members must update personal information through the website when changes occur.
Article 7 Membership Withdrawal and Disqualification
Members may withdraw at any time, and the Clinic may suspend or terminate membership if violations occur.
Article 8 Re-registration
Former members who withdrew may re-register in accordance with Article 6.
Chapter 3 Protection of Personal Information
Article 9 Collection of Personal Information
(1) The Clinic may collect necessary personal information to provide services.
(2) Personal information is collected with user consent, except where required by law or for service fulfillment.
(3) The Clinic implements technical measures to protect personal information from loss, theft, or leakage.
(4) Personal information shall not be used for other purposes or provided to third parties without consent, except as permitted by law.
Chapter 4 Limitation of Liability for Online Appointments
Article 10 Appointment Requests and Confirmation
(1) Users may request appointments by providing required information through the website.
(2) The Clinic approves appointments unless false information or technical issues exist.
(3) Users agree that appointment changes or cancellations apply only to online reservations.
Chapter 5 Obligations of the Clinic and Users
Article 11 Obligations of the Clinic
The Clinic shall provide stable services, protect personal data, and allow users to review and correct their information.
Article 12 Obligations of Users
Users shall not engage in illegal, harmful, or disruptive activities and are responsible for ID and password management.
Chapter 6 Miscellaneous
Article 13 Deletion of Public Posts
The Clinic may restrict or delete posts without prior notice if they violate laws or rights.
Article 14 Copyright Ownership
All intellectual property rights belong to the Clinic. Unauthorized commercial use is prohibited.
Article 15 Dispute Resolution
The Clinic and users shall make efforts to resolve disputes amicably.
Article 16 Jurisdiction and Governing Law
Disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea and handled by the court with jurisdiction over the Clinic’s address.
These Terms shall take effect from August 17, 2020.
